About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Ag & Trading enterprise, which connects producers and users of grains and oilseeds globally through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. The role is a 12-month training program designed to prepare individuals to lead diverse teams as a plant Operations Supervisor. Upon successful completion and based on performance, the associate will transition to an Operations Plant Leader role at a different location, with relocation assistance provided. The training may include exposure to Operations, Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Continuous Improvement, Human Resources, Talent Management, and Employee Relations, as well as other areas based on business needs and interests. The goal is to develop a career with global impact within Cargill's community.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or completed one or more of the following: Achieved E-4 rank (or higher) in a military background or Two years’ relevant experience (as defined by operational, mechanical, and/or leadership experience).
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa, or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
Must relocate after approximately 12 months at your original hiring location as part of the program’s development and career progression.
Ability to contribute, both as part of a team and individually.
Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and weekends when the need arises (based on business demands and/or obligations).

Responsibilities

Participate in a 12-month training program to prepare for leadership roles.
Gain experience in various operational areas including Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Continuous Improvement, and Human Resources.
Learn elevator operations and eventually lead a small team.
Work at different locations as needed for local support and career development.
Contribute to ensuring facilities are run safely and efficiently.
Potentially work varying shift hours, 8 to 14-hour shifts, and 6 to 7-day weeks depending on customer demand.
Perform weekend and on-call duties as required.
