About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Ag & Trading enterprise, which connects producers and users of grains and oilseeds globally through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. The role is a 12-month training program designed to prepare individuals to lead diverse teams as a plant Operations Supervisor. Upon successful completion and based on performance, the associate will work with their manager to identify a role as an Operations Plant Leader at a different location, with relocation assistance provided for this first official role. The training may include exposure to Operations, Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Continuous Improvement, Human Resources, Talent Management, and Employee Relations, as well as other areas based on business needs and interests.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed/to be completed between May 2021 – Summer 2024), OR an Associate's Degree + two years relevant work experience (operational, mechanical, and/or leadership), OR achieved E-4 rank (or higher) in a military background, OR four years relevant experience (operational, mechanical, and/or leadership).
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
  • Willing and able to relocate.
  • Ability to contribute both as part of a team and individually.
  • Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and weekends when the need arises.

  • Pursuing an agriculture, business-related degree, or engineering degree (including but not limited to Ag-Economics, Ag-Business, Ag-Education, Agronomy, Feed Science, Grain Science, Operations Management, Ag-Systems Management, Ag-Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanized Systems Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution).

Responsibilities
