About The Position

The Operations Maintenance Technician performs responsive, accurate, and efficient facilities maintenance throughout the facility, including major attraction areas and common areas. The role focuses on preserving painted interior and exterior areas, scheduled commercial painting and wallcovering, maintaining the appearance of high-traffic common areas, restoring painted areas, providing contracted custom painting and wallcovering services for residents, and completing drywall repairs as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a building maintenance position.
• Knowledge of the building maintenance industry.
• Ability to operate aerial lifts up to 35 feet.
• Ability to safely operate power and hand tools.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work at heights between 10 and 35 feet.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing and moving frequently; occasional repetitive motion, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping or squatting, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds; infrequent lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds; and occasional pushing and pulling.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a trade or vocational school program in building maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of ceramic tile repair and installation.

Responsibilities

• Preserve the interior and exterior upkeep of painted campus areas.
• Perform commercial painting and wallcovering as scheduled.
• Maintain the appearance of high-traffic common areas through painting and wallcovering.
• Restore painted areas throughout the facility to like-new condition.
• Perform custom painting and wallcovering services as contracted by residents.
• Perform drywall repairs as needed.
