This position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of water district pipelines and the ROW. The duties include performing vegetation maintenance, painting, building fences/irrigation/floodway/carpentry/gates/apparatuses on pipelines or ROW, traveling long distances to remote areas to complete work under minimal supervision, hauling materials and equipment, driving/operating various equipment, using chain saws and woodchippers, assisting with field work such as pipe to soil data collection, reading instruments, and maintenance of equipment, performing data entry, cleaning and maintaining equipment daily, upholding safety standards, interacting with other personnel, responding to after-hours emergencies, being part of the Hazmat Response Team, assisting with monitoring and maintenance of Pipelines, ROW, and/or Floodway, assisting with special events, working on call, maintaining familiarity with strategic district levels of service, and continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts.
