Operations & Maintenance Internship (Manufacturing Environment)

Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- Must have completed Sophomore year
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical information into clear, easy-to-understand content
- Basic video editing skills (or willingness to learn)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or maintenance environments
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe, Canva, or similar)
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
Responsibilities
- Edit and produce training videos using existing and newly captured footage (e.g., safety trainings such as bloodborne pathogens)
- Organize and enhance legacy video content to ensure usability and consistency
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of training materials
- Support development of visual training tools that align with safety and food manufacturing standards
- Assist in writing and updating standard work instructions and procedures for Operations and Maintenance
- Translate technical processes into clear, user-friendly documentation for plant employees
- Support standardization efforts to improve consistency, training, and operational efficiency
- Ensure documentation aligns with safety, quality, and food safety requirements (GMPs)
- Assist in building and updating reliability modules within RedZone or similar systems
- Support data entry, tracking, and organization of maintenance and reliability information
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and performance
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality teams to support ongoing projects
- Assist with preparation of materials for trainings, meetings, and plant communications as needed
- Contribute to special projects that support safety, food quality, and operational excellence
