About The Position

The Operations Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the maintenance requirements of the Paper Machine Department to minimize downtime and maximize production while meeting all safety, environmental, and quality limitations and specifications. This role involves planning and execution of maintenance activities, acting as a liaison between departments, and ensuring safety and budget compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • 3+ years’ experience in Maintenance/Planning or Operations Supervision position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills to coordinate activities between Maintenance and Operations
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel required
  • Experience with JDE or another CMMS program required
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require Clearwater Paper's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • Preference for Microsoft Project experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduled work between operations and maintenance, including urgent, routine, minor, and major maintenance work.
  • Plan and schedule all work to minimize lost time and cost.
  • Act as the main responsible person for maintenance contractor work planning and oversight.
  • Serve as a liaison between department personnel and maintenance, communicating pertinent information to both parties.
  • Ensure equipment is safely locked out and all required safety permits are obtained.
  • Manage contractor safety and complete contractor management checklists.
  • Maintain the maintenance repair budget.
  • Monitor equipment efficiency and preventive/predictive maintenance procedures to identify problems and set up corrective repairs.
  • Maintain department repair records to identify future preventive maintenance needs.
  • Prioritize and oversee maintenance and minor capital projects, ensuring they progress through the process.
  • Lead meetings for weekly outage work.
