About The Position

Responsible for the purchase, stocking, and accounting of parts needed for the maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment. The position involves the routine attainment of parts and supplies, expediting the receipt of critical parts, and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers. The coordinator will analyze needs for spare parts, set inventory levels, approve and document purchases, and maintain the physical inventory of parts and supplies in the maintenance department, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and cleaning. Accuracy of the inventory on the computer system is crucial. The role also requires regular attendance, timeliness, and the ability to work and interact well with others. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor may also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in maintenance software system.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet software
  • Working knowledge of equipment and machinery terminology (roller bearing, needle bearing, bushing, reducer ratios, horsepower, etc.)
  • Intermediate organizational skills, including ability to maintain inventories in orderly fashion on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks (understands the timing of placing orders for adequate stocking)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Successful completion of pre-hire drug screen and post offer background screen is required to obtain employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MP2 and Oracle preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers.

  • Approve and documents purchases in accordance with company and departmental purchasing policies.
  • Maintain the physical inventory of parts and supplies in the maintenance department. This responsibility includes shipping, receiving, stocking, cleaning, and all other physical duties necessary to maintain this valuable inventory.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the inventory on the computer system.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
