About The Position

The Learning Excellence team delivers robust learning and development programs that strengthen operational training, workforce capability, and effective use of the J&J Learn ecosystem across the CAR-T manufacturing site. The Operations Learning Specialist, CAR-T will play a critical role in designing, facilitating, and continuously improving learning experiences that enhance technical capability, operational readiness, and employee development. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence workforce performance, support patient-focused manufacturing operations, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence in a highly regulated CAR-T manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Training, Manufacturing, Quality, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a cGxP-regulated environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation experience with both in-person and virtual learning programs.
  • Experience translating business needs, process requirements, and competency gaps into effective learning solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Ability to analyze training data, evaluate learning effectiveness, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting CAR-T, cell therapy, biologics, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or other advanced therapy environments.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning program development.
  • Experience with competency mapping, workforce development programs, and skills-based learning strategies.
  • Knowledge of learning effectiveness evaluation methodologies and learning analytics.
  • Experience performing internal and external benchmarking and implementing training best practices.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and lead blended learning programs including: workshops, instructor-led training, webinars, and hands-on learning activities using adult learning theory and input from SMEs and business partners.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual learning experiences that build technical skills, strengthen competency, support compliance topics, and promote effective application of learning in a CAR-T manufacturing environment.
  • Partner with business leaders, internal customers, site stakeholders, Operations Training, Quality Training, Operations Training, Global Pharma Training, and MedTech to identify training needs, align program objectives to business goals/metrics, and support CAR-T personnel development.
  • Support implementation of the learning strategy by conducting needs analyses, map competencies, developing training topics based on survey insights and site metrics.
  • Support workforce development initiatives by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen talent pipelines, build future-ready capabilities, and align skills-based learning pathways to CAR-T operational needs and site workforce strategy.
  • Support continuous improvement of the Operations Training model, including content structure, skills matrices, process flows, and learning program outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyze post-training evaluations, surveys, key performance indicators, learning outcomes, performance impact, and training-related metrics to assess effectiveness, communicate insights, and recommend enhancements.
  • Develop and deploy marketing, communication, and engagement strategies to increase awareness, participation, and learner engagement, through post-training follow-ups, coaching opportunities, and certification pathways.
