Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, potentially rotating shift environment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk for 8+ hours without assistance.
  • Bend, Squat, Climb, Grasp, Reach, Lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time.
  • Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
  • Hearing and vision to normal range.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily manufacturing work in a specified area, guiding a team to meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets by managing area workflows, training staff, monitoring processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring schedules and procedures are followed for timely product delivery.
  • Leads teams, monitors KPIs, coordinates logistics, manages inventory, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinates daily production activities and workflow.
  • Adjusts schedules and assigns staff to optimal positions for efficiency.
  • Monitors equipment, detects malfunctions, and reports issues to maintenance.
  • Ensures adherence to production quotas, quality standards, and procedures.
  • Assigns daily tasks, managing shift handovers, and providing real-time feedback to staff.
  • Directs, instructs, and assigns work to production team members.
  • Trains new and existing employees on SOPs, processes, and safety.
  • Monitors attendance, breaks, and provides performance feedback.
  • Provides regular performance reviews.
  • Onboards and mentors new hires on machinery, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoots production delays, performing minor technical corrections on machinery, and coordinating with maintenance teams.
  • Monitors products and processes to maintain established quality standards and identifies root causes for defects.
  • Enforces strict safety protocols and a clean work environment.
  • Conducts quality checks, identifies defects, and assists with investigations.
  • Ensures proper packaging, labeling, and material supply.
  • Tracks production metrics (efficiency, quality) and reports to management.
  • Identifies areas for process improvement and recommends changes.
  • Communicates effectively with leaders and other departments.
