About The Position

The 2nd shift Operations Leader is responsible for driving end-to-end performance for all engine Programs, serving as the 2nd shift point of contact for GE Internal Product Line teams to ensure seamless translation of customer needs into executable plans. This role is responsible for leading cross functional plans with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and sourcing to deliver on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost commitments. Success requires strong stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making, and proactive issue resolution to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years’ Materials and Production Planning experience) + minimum of 5 years’ Materials and Production Planning experience)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface for Ops teams on the off shift, managing day-to-day communications, coordinating Daily management within team on site, and helping to drive execution of material plans within the shop
  • Drive schedule adherence, expedite priorities, and lead recovery plans to protect on-time delivery and inventory health
  • Lead operating rhythms with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and engineering to remove roadblocks, mitigate risk, and execute on customer commitments
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Partner with Quality to ensure customer requirements, specs, and regulatory standards are met; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
