About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical role within the store leadership team, responsible for driving and coaching the team towards profitability and efficiency. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate tasks, delegate work, and provide feedback to achieve optimal results in supporting total store operations. The Operations Lead will also act as a Business Leader, managing reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities. They will demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies and move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests. As a People Leader, they will lead by example, inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience, and directly oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and development of talent. They will use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide constant feedback for growth. The Operations Lead also serves as a Business Partner, collaborating with the Visual Lead for cross-functional training and the Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed, and executing company-level operations-focused directives and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making

  • High energy, upbeat and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team

  • Open availability and expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends.
  • Expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
  • Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
  • Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
  • Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests.
  • Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
  • Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent.
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
  • Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
  • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC).
