About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operational activities within department team. The duties and responsibilities of a lead can vary depending on the day-to-day company needs, size, and organizational structure. May be responsible for multiple short term and long-term projects, so ability to prioritize and maintain organization. Reporting directly to the operations manager.

Requirements

  • Analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions to address them promptly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical skills and knowledge in Warehouse, Logistics, Operations and Fulfillment.
  • At least two (2) years of related work experience in a warehouse, fulfilment center or logistics required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team of employees within a particular operational area.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Identifying inefficiencies in existing processes and implementing improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Streamlining workflows, standardizing procedures, and introducing new tools or technologies.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues that arise within their department or team.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assess the performance of team against established metrics, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
  • Responsible for training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for existing team members.
  • Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Communicate important information to their team and serve as a point of contact for any operational issues or inquiries.
  • Conduct regular audits or inspections and take corrective actions to address any deviations from quality requirements.
