About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical role within the store leadership team, responsible for driving and coaching towards profitability and efficiency. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate, delegate, and provide feedback to the team, ensuring optimal results that support total store operations. The Operations Lead is expected to lead and execute inventory management processes effectively, focusing on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink. They will investigate and identify the root causes of inventory accuracy issues, escalating process or system gaps to the General Manager as needed. Key operational functions include managing shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management. Additionally, the Operations Lead champions strong visual standards for the sales floor and supports a safe and efficient work environment through robust stockroom standards and processes. As a Business Leader, they partner with the Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities. They demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies and move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests. As a People Leader, they lead by example, inspiring staff in daily operations and guest experience. They directly oversee the Operations Associates, being responsible for recruitment and development of talent, and use company performance tools to evaluate each associate, providing constant feedback for individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader. They also act as a Business Partner, collaborating with the Visual Lead for cross-functional training and the Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed. They execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making
  • Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide
  • High energy, upbeat and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team

  • Expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends
  • Expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January)

Responsibilities

  • Lead & execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink

  • Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests
  • Leads by example and inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience
  • Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader
  • Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed
  • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC)
