The Operations Lead will be required to provide support to the leadership team and employees at the site. This role performs fill-in duties that will assist the team in the production of aseptically packaged products in a safe, clean work environment, as well as all functions relating to operating the production equipment used to manufacture food products. The Operations Lead will have leadership and ownership of the department, job responsibilities, and job functions. They will serve as a source of technical knowledge and expertise for the production line, assist in the development of standard operating procedures, train employees, and contribute to project development. This role also involves performing all jobs in the area as necessary to cover breaks, PTO, and training, and assuming the responsibilities of the shift supervisor in their absence. The Operations Lead will monitor and fix faults, clear material jams in equipment, conduct required quality checks, maintain a clean and organized work area, troubleshoot and resolve operating difficulties, and perform routine and corrective maintenance on machines, supporting mechanics in appropriate maintenance activities. Accurate preparation and maintenance of all area paperwork is essential, along with proficiency in using a computer. The role includes performing a variety of quality and food safety checks, preparing, distributing, and maintaining records, auditing processes, and working with management to ensure effective organizational design. Effective shift communication and teamwork with other operators and support groups are crucial. This position requires adherence to all employee safety, food safety, and quality procedures, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and responsible for proper shift handoff. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn when required. All other duties, as assigned.
