About The Position

This internship provides exposure to the Commercial organization (Technical Sales) through various assignments such as Technical Support Help Desk, Marketing Assignments, and Product support related assignments. The intern will assist with gathering and analyzing data, compiling insights, supporting the commercial team with customer communications, quote preparation, order entry, and CRM data maintenance. They will also track sales performance metrics, manage customer databases, coordinate with internal teams, and assist in preparing pricing documents and proposals. The role involves participating in cross-functional projects, maintaining records, creating reports and dashboards, and interfacing with various departments. The intern will also participate in team meetings, attend training, and stay informed on industry news.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering or related field.
  • Academic coursework in accounting is required.
  • Valid driver’s license – required
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or relevant experience a plus.
  • Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing data on industry trends, competitors, and customer behaviors to support strategic decision-making.
  • Compile insights into presentations or reports for internal teams.
  • Support the commercial team with customer communications, quote preparation, order entry, and CRM data maintenance.
  • Assist in tracking sales performance metrics and customer feedback.
  • Help manage and update customer accounts and contact databases.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve basic customer inquiries or issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of pricing documents, customer proposals, and contract summaries.
  • Support the commercial team during negotiations by preparing documentation and conducting financial comparisons.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving product launches, promotional campaigns, or customer onboarding.
  • Track milestones, follow up with stakeholders, and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market research.
  • Support in the creation of monthly dashboards, KPI reports, and internal presentations.
  • Interface with marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to gain broad exposure to the business.
  • Participate in team meetings, offering insights from a fresh perspective.
  • Attend training sessions, shadow commercial leaders, and complete assigned development activities.
  • Stay informed on industry news, market trends, and internal product updates.
