About The Position

As an intern, you will learn to supervise and lead individuals in an operations department. You will assist with the implementation of production plans and managing their completion. You will apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of quality and production output. You will also assist with ideas to improve current production or place new products and lines into production. You will sit in on meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain an understanding of current projects/focuses. You will anticipate and overcome production-related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions, and unavoidable delays where possible to reduce their impact on the operation. Additionally, you will manage special projects as assigned, which includes monitoring and leading projects, submitting potential projects to management, and providing status reports on projects.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Industrial Management Supervision OLS, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Food Science, Ag Business, Food Process Engineering, Food Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Manufacturing/ Logistics, Quality Assurance, Ag System Management, or any related major.
  • Must be willing to work an off shift.
  • Must be willing to work in a Plant Manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience and/or leadership background is preferred.
