This position is responsible for all functions relating to operating the processing equipment used to package and manufacture aseptic beverage products as well as cleaning (CIP) and sanitizing. The role involves coordinating cleaning, sterilizing, and operating aseptic filling equipment and supporting systems to maximize product quality and departmental efficiency. The operator will monitor and fix equipment faults, clear material jams, and maintain communication within the production team for smooth shift transitions. They will also be responsible for performing required quality checks, relieving team members for breaks and absences, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Troubleshooting basic to moderate operating difficulties, performing routine maintenance on DE machines, and supporting mechanics in maintenance activities are also key duties. The role requires monitoring raw materials and supplies for efficient production, understanding the continuous process flow of the aseptic system, and accurately preparing and maintaining all area paperwork. The operator must be able to work independently and professionally with team members, be proficient with computers, and perform various quality and food safety checks. Communication with other facility personnel regarding production delays or problems is essential. Adherence to all employee safety, food safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is mandatory. Responsible for proper shift handoff and wearing all required PPE, such as protective gloves, aprons, face shields, and safety glasses. The role also entails leadership and ownership of the department, job responsibilities, and job function. All other duties as assigned.
