About The Position

Maola is seeking a dedicated Filler Operator for the 3rd shift (8:00 pm - 4:30 am). This role involves tending machines that perform packaging functions such as filling, marking, and labeling. The operator will start and observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and report them to the supervisor. Various machines are involved, including the 30 Valve filler, Quart filler, Nep filler, Bulk filler, 18 Valve plastic filler, and the 1/2 Gallon paper filler. Requirements

  • High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively through multiple channels – oral, written, visual, and non-verbal.

  • Requires reaching and handling dairy products.
  • Requires pushing and pulling stacks of products weighing up to 200lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Tends machines that fill pasteurized products into containers.
  • Examines containers from all lines for seals, labels, weights, dates, and valves.
  • Checks seals (top and bottom) for stains and valves for excess leakage.
  • Reviews with the lab for approvals of each product change on each machine.
  • Observes the flow of milk into the machine and removes defective containers.
  • Notifies the foreman of machine malfunctions.
  • Places containers on the machine and adjusts machines of various sizes.
  • Records information in 15-minute intervals for weight, date, and label.
