About The Position

The OFSS will function as a staffing coverage resource for any CW location as needed. We currently operate 14 locations. The focus of this position will be our 6 Express Tunnel locations (4 in Dutchess County and 2 in Orange Couty). This will include filling in for Managers, Assistant Managers or Associates during planned or unplanned time off. The successful candidate will need to become proficient in all aspects of operations (opening/closing, chemical management, Cashier/POS functionality, etc.) and human resource management (scheduling, evaluating, training, and driving sales efforts). We are looking for a mature professional with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience and the drive to support continued growth of our organization. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Prior Operations, Business and Staffing Management experience required (3 years).
  • Prior customer service experience (preferably retail if not car wash) required.
  • Above average mechanical skills with the ability to learn how to do minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Dependable transportation required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Car Wash Management experience highly desirable – or – significant Car Wash experience.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to cover any level CW staff member, up to and including a manager on short notice at any one of our locations (short or long term as needed).
  • Provide operational coverage as needed to cover staff outages including any PTO, staffing shortage issues or when additional staffing is needed at any CW location.
  • Assist Manager in day-to-day operations while on site, including operations, facility and staffing.
  • Must be able to take over as manager as needed to cover planned and unplanned manager outages.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are executed and followed properly.
  • Work closely with managers to monitor all site level sales statistics.
  • Facilitate and maintain sales efforts while on site.
  • Provide feedback, and identify areas of opportunity to the Manager or Director of Operations on possible operational improvements, staffing, facility etc.
  • Acquire competency to operate/manage the CW independently without supervision (~6 -8 month learning curve).
  • Understand and drive all sales goals and metrices according to company expectations.
  • Support training and motivation of staff.
  • Report any issues to the Director of Operations.
  • Gain trust and respect from a broad spectrum of employee and personality types.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites as needed.
