About The Position

ProDriven Global Brands is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This role is within the Continuous Improvement Department and is responsible for leading transformative projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste. The position is currently onsite for collaboration, teamwork, and business needs, with the possibility of changes based on evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechatronics Engineering or Automation Engineering.
  • Seven years of senior-level experience with implementing automated process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, including Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with ISO9001:2015 audits.
  • Experience with costing and impact on production changes.
  • Experience with DMAIC Methodology, including line balancing or work leveling.
  • Experience with Advanced Knowledge Problem Solving (including 8D’s, 5 -Why, or Fishbone).
  • Experience with FMEA Failure modes and effects analysis.
  • Experience with poka-yoke error prevention processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and how data is stored and used for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and prioritizing strategic opportunities for improvement in existing manufacturing processes, focusing on substantial impact areas.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive plans to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate overall operational performance.
  • Effectively coordinating meetings, delegating tasks, and communicating progress to the manager's team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilizing advanced data analysis techniques to uncover intricate trends and patterns, providing nuanced insights for continuous improvement.
  • Creating sophisticated reports that convey findings and actionable recommendations to the team.
  • Instilling a culture of continuous improvement, promoting the use of data-driven decision-making and encouraging innovation, and introducing and championing innovative concepts and approaches to further optimize operational processes.
  • Conducting impactful workshops to engage personnel at all levels in problem-solving and idea generation.
  • Providing comprehensive training sessions to ensure all employees are well-informed about process changes.
  • Overseeing and managing a portfolio of improvement projects, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Playing a lead role as an internal auditor for ISO9001:2015, ensuring compliance and contributing to continuous improvement in quality management systems.
  • Supervising six direct reports including a CI coordinator and automation and manufacturing engineers.
