About The Position

Join MiniMed for a summer internship where you’ll do meaningful work, gain hands-on experience, and make an impact on our mission to make every day a better day for people with diabetes. You’ll be part of a collaborative intern community, build your professional network, and gain exposure to opportunities that help you grow both personally and professionally. Our summer internships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions lasting 10-11 weeks. Engineering roles in the Operations engineering group can include manufacturing engineers and process engineers, along with other exciting roles. Examples of work in each of these areas are listed below. Manufacturing Engineer Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Process Engineer Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.

Requirements

Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering major with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
Ability to participate full time, 40 hours per week, as part of the intern cohort from June 1-August 13 for semester system programs or June 14-August 20 for quarter system programs.
Applicants for MiniMed’s Summer Internship Program must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: C/C++, C#, SQL, Python, Minitab, MATLAB, CAD: SolidWorks/ Autocad or equivalent
Prior work on projects in a team environment
Relevant academic project, internship, or lab experience
Technical writing skills
Experience with statistics and data analysis or Digital IC Design Theory
