About The Position

The Operations Engineer owns monitoring and managing overnight data loads into the SAP BW data warehouse during weekend night shifts, from Thursday through Sunday nights into Monday morning. The role ensures seamless execution of data loads, promptly identifies and resolves errors or disruptions, and helps maintain the availability, stability, and integrity of the SAP BW environment.

The engineer troubleshoots issues, analyzes root causes, implements preventive solutions, optimizes data-load performance, and coordinates with cross-functional support teams to restore functionality. The role requires hands-on SAP BW data-load monitoring and troubleshooting experience, familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, and performance tuning, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment. Preferred qualifications include independence during off-hours, West Coast time-zone alignment, and a background in operations, IT support, or data engineering.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP BW data-load monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and performance-tuning techniques.
• Exposure to SAP BW Process Chains, SAP HANA, and error-handling frameworks.
• Experience working in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
• Strong communication skills.
