This role involves working independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality, cross-functional projects on time and within budget. The position requires partnering with project managers and external vendors to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules. Responsibilities include influencing technical documentation, performing documentation reviews, and analyzing system layouts and solutions. The engineer will represent system and/or equipment designs to customers and other teams, communicate project status, answer questions in detail, and provide clear summaries to leadership. Building strong working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers is essential. The role also includes participating in design reviews, supporting execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors (covering equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout), and managing budget documents, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing. Strong relationships with FC/SC leadership and operations teams across multiple sites, as well as with Launch, Facilities, Finance, Safety, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders, are crucial. The position will identify and lead process improvement initiatives to support operations teams within a geographic node. Up to 75% domestic travel may be required, but 100% telecommuting is permitted, with work potentially performed from anywhere in the U.S.
