About The Position

Storti Quality Services is hiring an Operations Director. The Operations Director provides support to and leads the operations for Storti Quality Services. This individual manages the productivity and profitability of the overall project/contract and the entire Operations team. This individual will direct and ensure the smooth cross-functioning of project/program management functions relative to planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and financial management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the natural gas industry, as it pertains to Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 49 Part 192 from an engineering, constructability, and inspection services standpoint.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, with the ability to use this data for informed decision-making and financial planning.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong management and team leadership skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast project needs, resources, and timelines to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Ability to rapidly establish credibility and relationships with a broad range of individuals.
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deliver feedback (both positive and constructive) in an appropriate manner.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree in management, project management, or a technical field with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of natural gas distribution construction experience preferred.
  • Experience managing client relationships, particularly from the contractor side, with a focus on maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise all field personnel, superintendents, and back-office staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the Operations schedule.
  • Actively engage in the budget process, meeting budget expectations, exceeding revenue projections, and income targets.
  • Manage the labor and non-labor expenses associated with performing services handled within the boundaries of the approved budget.
  • Responsible for providing accurate financial forecasting to senior management.
  • Responsible, with the help of other senior leadership, for the review of professional service agreements, proposals, and cost estimates for projects, arranging for their review and execution by senior management.
  • Provide technical support regarding client documentation applications, client systems and maintain overall expertise of internal and external digital systems required for field and client.
  • Monitor safety, quality, and productivity daily, and provide actionable written and verbal feedback to direct reports on a consistent basis.
  • Enforce overall compliance including Operator Qualifications, safety, eHASP, Contractor Standards, DOJTs, and OSHA as required by the client and safety.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, productive work environment to foster the growth of productive.
  • Provide strategic and technical input to drive the overall growth of the business unit (BU). This includes, but is not limited to, territorial opportunities, participation in conferences, promotional literature, and/or unique client relationships.
  • Develop and implement creative cost-saving and income improvement solutions for meeting and/or exceeding the firm’s financial targets and goals.
  • Responsible for performance management and career development of staff to enhance employee personal growth, morale, and the ability to advance within the organization. This includes identification of key individuals and proper succession planning.
  • Provide for and coordinate with internal necessary personnel, all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and other related equipment, supplies and training deemed necessary to properly perform work as it pertains to the geographic location and/or the best interest of the client or program.
  • Responsible for the management of all related timecards, expense reports, paid time off (PTO), credit cards, etc. as it pertains to the employees within assigned area.
  • Develop and coordinate onboarding schedules for newly hired employees in coordination with the Program Manager and Talent Acquisition.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Ensure employees have reviewed the company handbook and safety manual.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Complete employee performance evaluations and work cohesively with HR to develop measurable goals.
  • From time to time participate in industry associations and community/civic activities in a leadership role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
