About The Position

The Operations Director II provides administrative leadership to the operations of assigned departments, focusing on business strategy, market development, and all regulatory activities. This role involves overseeing operational accountability, supporting partnering Directors, and serving as a department liaison with external constituents. Key responsibilities include developing, revising, and auditing department policies and procedures, creating business plans, and implementing strategic and tactical operational plans. The director is also responsible for establishing and maintaining operational standards, performance measurement tools, and facilitating timely problem resolution to ensure efficiency, quality, access, and patient satisfaction. Financial oversight is a critical component, involving budget development and achievement, input into financial pro-formas, and monitoring revenue-impacting activities. The role also encompasses human resource management, including staff engagement, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and facilitating skill development. Additionally, the director leads patient safety education, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, monitors incidents, and guides outpatient care management activities. The work is typically performed in an office environment, and the individual is accountable for all job-specific obligations and compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Must hold 5 years of healthcare management experience.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years-Healthcare.
  • Minimum of 5 years-Managerial/Supervisory.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative leadership to the operations of assigned departments.
  • Responsible for business strategy, market development, and all regulatory activities.
  • Oversees the operational accountability for assigned areas.
  • Provides administrative leadership support to partnering Directors.
  • Serves as department liaison with outside constituents and as an active participant in assigned management forums.
  • Works with department Directors to develop, revise, and audit all department policies and operational procedures.
  • Develops business plans and oversees the development and implementation of all strategic and tactical operational plans.
  • Creates and maintains standards, operational activities, and performance measurement tools that meet operational and market needs in operational efficiency, quality, access, and patient satisfaction.
  • Facilitates a timely problem resolution process.
  • Oversees the financial performance of all assigned areas.
  • Develops, implements, and achieves budgets and provides input into business plans, financial pro-formas, and operational contingency plans.
  • Implements activities and tools that consistently educate and focus staff on key performance indicators.
  • Monitors all revenue impacting activity by reviewing reports provided by finance, care management, etc.
  • Facilitates active engagement and communication with department staff via formal meetings and informal interactions.
  • Manages all employee relations and employee performance activities.
  • Works with assigned HR Consultant on recruitment activities.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels and mix.
  • Assesses staff and facilitates skill development for all personnel as needed.
  • Actively participates in resolving employee problems and conflicts as needed.
  • Leads and monitors annual staff patient safety education.
  • Directs and monitors ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements in collaboration with performance improvement staff.
  • Monitors all incidents and ensures all events are reported immediately.
  • Guides outpatient care management activities and participates on teams designed to improve care with identified patient population.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
