Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes. The MTDC Operations Analyst will collaborate with various supply chain partners, including 3PL Distribution providers, Supply Planning, Transportation, customer service and both Internal and External Manufacturing plants to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials into, out of, and within the DCs. This role coordinates and facilitates Logistics/Distribution projects and activities for both domestic and international business as required. It involves performing Blue Yonder & SAP inventory transactions, investigating and resolving SAP iDOC errors, and proposing and owning process improvements to fix/prevent systemic transaction errors. The analyst will identify and develop projects to optimize warehouse processes, increase efficiency, improve quality, and increase throughput to reduce total operating cost and cycle time. This position acts as the primary contact for Logistics/Distribution processing issues for Depuy Synthes and select CSS businesses, becoming knowledgeable of all unique product distribution requirements, and supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associate’s degree required
  • Relevant professional work experience in the area of Supply Chain Management, preferably Distribution, Planning
  • Strong technical ability
  • Proven proficiency with all Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated Strong Critical Thinking skills - ability to recognize and capture evidence of problems, analyze and troubleshoot to identify core problem statement
  • Ability to support flexible working shifts, outside standard 9am-5pm working schedule, shifting working time depending on business needs.
  • May require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites

Responsibilities

  • INBOUND / OUTBOUND PRIORITIZATION – be the gatekeeper for all inbound & outbound priorities for the site. Clearly communicate priorities to the 3PL understanding the operational capacity.
  • ISSUE RESOLUTION - Resolve Missing Purchase Orders, ASN / inventory holds, service incidents, and iDOC errors. Collaborate with upstream systems owners to push immediate issue focus. Own the partnership between supply chain partners. Assist in resolution of issues involving cycle counts, inventory sync, and ad hoc requests. Support Quarter / Year End purchase order closure and administration.
  • FACILITATION - Act as single point of distribution contact supply chain business partners for day to day execution and/or administration activities. Responsibilities include: facilitating information requests from the DCs and process change management communication, onboarding contractor associates systemically, managing purchase orders for site supplies, and leading the site visitor experience.
  • PROJECT SUPPORT/LEADERSHIP - Help identify process improvement project opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve processing rates. Lead function specific projects and facilitate interactions between DCs and Vendors as they are discovered. Track and trend process quality and adherence to the Mooresville standards.
