About The Position

The Operations Development (DevOps) Specialist is a technical role focused on improving production-floor efficiency and driving continuous improvement. This position applies DevOps principles to manufacturing challenges by combining software engineering, automation, and operational excellence. It serves as a key link to manufacturing, supporting efficiency gains, cost reduction, and the development of a standardized digital environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of CNC Machining in a mixed model manufacturing environment.
  • Practical familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Problem-solving mindset and a positive attitude with a willingness to drive change
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and material flow, specifically within a High-Mix / Low-Volume environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or similar).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI for analysis and performance visualization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex technical data into actionable shop-floor instructions.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high mix manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive mindset focused on root-cause analysis and the implementation of both tactical (immediate) and strategic (long-term) solutions
  • High attention to detail with the ability to provide tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Collaborative yet self-directed, with the capability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to capture "tribal knowledge" and transform it into clear, visual, and written instructions suitable for the training and onboarding of junior-level technicians.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in engineered-to-order, capital equipment, or complex manufacturing environments is a plus.

  • Introduce automation to eliminate waste to drive continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging technologies that stay current with manufacturing technologies and industry trends
  • Support capacity planning and layout design to optimize capacity utilization
  • Develop a digital ecosystem within Manufacturing
