About The Position

The Delivery Manager oversees enterprise delivery operations, ensuring performance meets or exceeds contractual standards and operational metrics in Retiree Health Solutions. They are responsible for delivering timely, high-quality work to plan sponsors and participants in Medicare.

Requirements

  • Have working knowledge of relevant Medicare and benefits laws, regulations, and their impact on associated processes.
  • Be proficient in time management, meeting deadlines, people management, Medicare and benefits regulations, critical thinking, and root cause analysis.
  • Be skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Display effective communication with clarity and detail through written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to leverage problem solving/critical thinking skills. Using data to accurately identify and communicate the cause and impact of an issue, determine necessary steps to resolve the issue, and address its symptoms.
  • Have ability to ensure accuracy of work and adherence to data security best practices.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the complete business models, their processes, and the respective process owners around Retiree Health Solutions and associated process owners.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing project planning, scheduling, capacity management, work delegation, and progress tracking to ensure deliverables are met accurately.
  • Identifying and pursuing process improvements that will lead to year-over-year efficiencies within the operational workload.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, carriers, third parties, and internal support teams involved in ongoing operations.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers on escalated operational issues.
  • Managing written and verbal communications, leading meetings, and facilitating discussions.
  • Adapting effectively to changing environments and priorities while communicating proficiently with internal teams, clients, carriers, and third parties in a virtual setting.
  • Serving as backup to Operations Director and solo operations representation on cross-functional calls and projects.
  • Delivering coaching, development, and overall people management for their aligned team. Ensuring all required performance conversations are completed timely and accurately using the tools and resources made available to managers at Alight.
  • Maximizing team efficiency by utilizing resources effectively, while providing coaching and training to address performance gaps and enhance skills.
