About The Position

The Project Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority within the Trading business and requires basic commercial awareness. The position involves guiding, influencing, and convincing others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers, through developed communication and diplomacy skills. The role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the Trading business. The work impacts an entire area, eventually affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. The role allows for a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgment and autonomy, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. It requires appropriate assessment of risk when business decisions are made, with consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

• 6-10 years relevant experience
• Prior industry experience
• Fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities of a product or process
• Basic understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics
• Subject area expert in one (or more) specific skill sets
• Comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
• Bachelor’s/University degree required

Responsibilities

• Loan IQ Product support / analysis for Trading / Secondary Loan Trading (SLT), including management of enhancements, production support, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Serve as a Loan IQ subject matter expert.
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of executing milestones and budget on one or more projects.
• Assess creation of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
• Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis aligns with business objectives and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents.
• Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones.
• Escalate project risks to the Project Director or Project Sponsor when appropriate.
• Ensure vendor performance is monitored, and actions are taken if performance warrants.
• Provide sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Directly affect the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.
