The Operations Coordinator - SCL reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role is responsible for supervising, prioritizing, and adjusting work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of all activities for the supply chain logistics teams in assigned areas. The Operations Coordinator acts as a liaison on behalf of the level one manager, participates in interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals. They utilize productivity reports to measure department performance against KPIs, provide mentoring and coaching to the supply chain logistics team, and resolve complex or critical situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain management personnel. This role also monitors daily activity for compliance, assists with special projects, and works with management to develop and document standard work methodologies. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator facilitates the onboarding of new staff, manages department orientation and training, creates and conducts competency assessments, and ensures support of MDI and daily huddles. They act as a quality assurance auditor, represent the Supply Chain Department in meetings, maintain data integrity in Peoplesoft and CIMS, and possess the ability to respond quickly under pressure. In the absence of the Manager of Supply Chain Logistics, they may act as a resource and point of contact. Other duties as assigned.
