About The Position
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Coordinator to support our Facilities and Environmental Services (EVS) departments. This unique position serves as the operational backbone for two essential hospital departments, helping ensure our facility remains safe, efficient, and welcoming for every patient, visitor, and employee. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two (2) or more years of administrative, office coordination, or operations support experience required
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare, Facilities Management, or Environmental Services preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate departmental documentation, reports, and communications
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and supply replenishment
- Maintain employee files, competency records, and regulatory documentation
- Coordinate maintenance requests and departmental service calls
- Conduct facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Perform patient rounds to identify service opportunities and enhance the patient experience
- Assist leadership with quality improvement initiatives and operational projects
- Prepare employee counseling and performance documentation for leadership review
- Track departmental metrics and maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with multiple departments to improve workflow, communication, and efficiency
