Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in Business or related field, plus a minimum of three(3) years work experience in a similar role, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and techniques with an in depth understanding of the Company’s operational system and the issues that exist in the wholesale distribution industry.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team based environment.
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications is required.
  • Forklift certified or ability to be certified.
  • Able to lift a minimum of fifty (50lbs) pounds.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid, WHMIS, & TDG certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all Inventory Control functions at the branch, including overall inventory integrity, identification and management of non-productive inventory, control and management of independent branch purchases, and completion of mandatory reporting documents (Cycle counts, Negative on-hands, PO reports, P-Status, etc.).
  • Responsible for the management of all administrative requirements at the branch, including phone and reception services, customer and vendor invoicing, credits and returns, AS400 Customer File maintenance, system and I.T. issues, human resources issues (scheduling, orienting, training, payroll), facility maintenance and security issues, maintenance and repairs for equipment and machinery, and branch reporting requirements.
  • Oversees the branch Warehouse and delivery functions, ensuring optimization and maintenance of branch delivery fleet, stocking and receiving methods conform with established standards, and picking fill rates and accuracies are maintained.
  • Ensures that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained by enforcing company safety and health policies and procedures.
  • May assist, and act in a backup capacity, to the Branch Manager as required.
