About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Operational Control, an Operations Coordinator supports the overall coordination of the company’s centralized dispatch function for all flights by fostering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest level of safety. This position ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and two years of related work experience are required
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated high work standard and ethics, especially in accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Training or related experience in aviation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day logistics requirements for all flight charters, resolving any issues that may arise and enacting quick turnaround contingency actions as required.
  • Coordinate crew schedules with the appropriate personnel when irregular operations arise, including reporting absences to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare and distribute daily trip packages and flight schedules.
  • Provide back up and after-hours assistance to check-in operations.
  • Schedule maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Department and attend daily maintenance meetings.
  • Work closely with maintenance, and commercial departments to ensure each charter flight is coordinated appropriately.
  • Occasionally review and approve landing fees, hotel invoices, taxi slips, and other miscellaneous invoices; as well as the monthly Nav Canada Aircraft movement billing for accuracy and process for invoicing and/or payment.
