About The Position

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Men's Soccer program. This role, located in Providence, Rhode Island, supports the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate men's soccer program. The position involves assisting in all phases of daily operations and promotion, contributing to the success of approximately 1,000 athletes across 38 varsity teams within the Ivy League and NCAA-D1.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years related experience in soccer (collegiate playing, coaching or operations).
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and computer skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, colleagues and the public.
  • Strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes.
  • Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks at one time.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, internet and email capabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to comply with, NCAA, Ivy League and University rules and regulations.
  • Must complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.

  • Division I experience preferred.
  • Experience planning and organizing team travel, preferred.
  • Social media experience, helpful.
  • Prior experience with video editing software, helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Brown Men’s Soccer program.
  • Assisting the Head Coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate men's soccer program.
  • Ensuring compliance with NCAA, Ivy League, and University rules and regulations.
  • Reporting any rules violations to the compliance office and appropriate parties.
  • Completing annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting.
  • Maintaining current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.
