About The Position

This is a part-time Assistant Coach position for Men's Soccer with a salary of $20,000 for a 9-month period. The majority of the work will occur during the Fall semester, which is the competitive season. The role involves planning and executing daily training sessions, game day duties, film breakdown, and recruitment efforts. The spring semester is slower, with fewer training sessions and occasional games against other college teams. The coach may have the opportunity to work with club/high school teams during the spring to supplement income.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years coaching experience.
• 1-2 years college coaching -preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, organize, and run daily training sessions that align with the coaching philosophy.
• Game day planning, sideline duties, setup/breakdown.
• Breaking down game film into tactical/technical sessions for player/team development.
• Recruitment trips to events like "surf Cup" and "Mayors Cup".
• Scouting local in-state talent from Utah by attending club training sessions and games.
• Corresponding with international agencies and watching highlights to scout and recruit international talent.
• Texting and facetiming with players and parents to build relationships and find the right fit for the program.
• Training 3-4 times per week during the spring semester with occasional spring games.
• Potentially working with club/high school teams during the spring semester.
