The Operations Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating assigned flight-following activities globally. This role involves monitoring and flight-following multiple aircraft during flight operations, including departures, arrivals, intermediate stops, and diversions. The specialist will file, update, and monitor flight plans, track aircraft using satellite and radio position reports, and monitor aircraft positioned offshore or at non-Company bases. Additionally, the role may include dispatching, tracking, and monitoring Search and Rescue aircraft, managing two-way communications via radio and satellite phone for operational control, and coordinating with Air Traffic Control (ATC) as needed. The specialist will also assist aircrew in obtaining required clearances for landings and green decks at offshore facilities, communicate weather conditions to flight crews, and initiate Emergency Response Plan actions when necessary. This position requires reporting any discrepancies or issues promptly to the Shift Supervisor and/or the OCC Manager, recording uploaded offshore fuel information, and maintaining a tracking sheet of this data. The specialist must be familiar with the Operations Manual, Operations Control Center Manual, and the Emergency Response Plan. Other duties as assigned will also be part of this role.
