The Operations Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating assigned flight-following activities globally. This role involves monitoring multiple aircraft during all phases of flight operations, including departures, arrivals, intermediate stops, and diversions. The specialist will also manage flight plans, track aircraft using satellite and radio reports, and monitor aircraft positioned offshore or at non-Company bases. Additionally, they will dispatch, track, and monitor Search and Rescue aircraft when applicable, and manage two-way communications via radio and satellite phone to maintain operational control. Coordination with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and assisting aircrew with clearances for offshore facilities are also key responsibilities. The role requires global flight following across all business units, communicating weather conditions to flight crews, and initiating Emergency Response Plan actions as needed. The specialist will report discrepancies to the Shift Supervisor or OCC Manager, record and track offshore fuel information, and be familiar with relevant operational manuals and the Emergency Response Plan. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
