About The Position

Bridger Aerospace is seeking an Operations Center Duty Officer to assist the Operations Center Manager in monitoring daily operations and communications. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn about fire aviation, expand knowledge of commercial operations in a multi-faceted environment, and interact with industry professionals, pilots, mechanics, and administrative personnel. The Duty Officer acts as a conduit for communication and information flow within the company. This is a full-time, seasonal position based at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Belgrade, MT, running from March to September, with potential extension to November. The role is shift-based, including nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities, with shifts varying to meet operational needs.

Requirements

  • Technologically savvy – computers, mobile devices and software.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking skills, strong initiative, close attention to detail and be team orientated.
  • Experience or an avid interest in aviation.
  • Flexible and dependable with availability to work weekends, nights, days, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations preferred.
  • Basic Arc GIS is preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operation Center Manager in optimizing a company-wide dashboard to communicate operational and administrative performance metrics.
  • Be familiar with company General Operating Manuals (GOMs), OpSpecs, contracts, and procedures.
  • Make timely decisions to complex challenges using company knowledge and data.
  • Coordinate logistics for mechanics and pilot crews.
  • Coordinate company flight requests.
  • Create and deliver daily ops briefs to company leadership and managers.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of data management systems and processes.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer service for internal teams and external customers through proactive communication and dependable support.
