About The Position

MTC is proud to operate the Los Angeles Job Corps Center in Los Angeles, CA where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. You’ll be responsible for the orderly operation of the center during evenings, weekends and holidays as designated by the center director in compliance with government and management directives.

Requirements

Experience with youth
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Computer proficiency required
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred
Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements

Responsibilities

Act as center director in his/her absence during evenings, weekends and holidays.
Monitor and maintain effective control through personal observations by making periodic checks of center wide activities as well as facilities, dormitories, cafeteria, etc. and report potential or existent non-resolved problems to the center director.
Confer with parents, center personnel and counsel students concerning problems relating to student actions on and off center.
Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
Make decisions in emergency situations that are determined to be disrupting the orderly operation of the center.
