About The Position
Premium Guard, Inc. is a privately held company, established in 1996. PGI is a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive aftermarket. The focus is on designing, manufacturing, and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network branches across the Pacific and into Mexico and South America. This position is responsible for the timely processing of all outgoing shipments (LTL) in accordance with company operational and quality procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or one to two years’ experience in warehouse distribution
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in MS Excel and MS Word required
- Attention to detail with alpha and numerical data
- Knowledge of key corporate business systems required
Responsibilities
- Assist with any tasks related to the loading and unloading of freight
- Serve as the supervisor's "second set of eyes."
- Make decisions and ensure that the proper freight is loaded in the proper location at the proper time
- Monitor the loading quality of all trailers
- Help the supervisor to ensure that all loads’ out cut times are being met
- Coordinate with the supervisor to ensure swaps trailers are done timely
- Coordinate freight, information, and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort
- Take all necessary steps in the closeout preparation of a trailer
- Ensure all pallets for each order are accounted for before shipping
- Wrap and stage pallets for preparation of shipments
- Operate a forklift for staging and loading
