About The Position

The Stifel Support Associate II is responsible for aiding in driving departmental results for the ongoing support of Stifel's branch offices as well as additional tasks which could require more experience and expertise to perform. This position requires a sound understanding of department subject matter including application support and training, as well as knowledge on general operational and industry questions. This position will require collaboration among team members, branch office personnel and Stifel clients to provide a high level of customer service under direct supervision while following established procedures. While not required, this position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States to assist with onboarding and training new Financial Advisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment in order to assist with more complex issues with the ability to disseminate relevant information to leadership
  • Sound understanding Stifel's applications, industry rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department and Stifel's branches
  • Ability to assist with testing applications and upgrades as they become available
  • Working knowledge of financial services applications, systems, terminology and procedures and ability to adapt to these changes
  • Ability to assist in training both new and existing associates on departmental and branch processes
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 1+ years Stifel or career equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years' professional business related experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Accurately provides phone support with a high level of customer service while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines
  • Identify potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and provide leadership with ways to improve operational efficiency
  • Develop effective communication skills within the department, Stifel Branch Personnel and to key stakeholders
  • Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other areas in the firm
  • Manage higher level and sensitive information with ability to keep record of caller interactions
  • Provide the highest quality of customer service through written and verbal communications
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward callers and promote team collaboration at all times
  • Assists with transitioning Financial Advisors to the firm which includes processing client mailings, training and answering questions regarding the onboarding process
