About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking an organized, enthusiastic Operations Assistant to join their small team. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch their career in business operations and learn how a company functions from the ground up. Working closely with the leadership team, the Operations Assistant will handle day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure the business runs smoothly. This is a collaborative, hands-on role offering exposure to human resources, company culture, and the basics of government contracting (GovCon). The company is looking for a proactive team player who is eager to learn, enjoys helping others, and thrives on variety in their workday.

Requirements

  • GovCon Background: Direct experience in government contracting recruiting, preferably within a small business environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn, Indeed, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Asana, and Slack.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision in document formatting and administrative tracking.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to tackle challenges, persevere through adversity, and focus on solutions.
  • Strong Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills for effective engagement with team members and external candidates.
  • Willingness to Learn: A "can-do" attitude and a desire to learn miscellaneous areas of the business, including HR and contract assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding paperwork, setting up accounts, and organizing internal HR files for new team members.
  • Prepare team resumes and project summaries using templates for official government bids.
  • Assist with tracking basic security and clearance paperwork to ensure records are up-to-date.
  • Post open roles online, schedule interviews, and communicate with applicants to ensure a positive hiring experience.
  • Manage daily office coordination using tools like Google Suite, Microsoft Word/Excel, Slack, and Asana to track tasks and ensure efficient operations.
