About The Position

Patient's Choice Laboratories is seeking a dedicated and professional Operations Assistant to join their team in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will serve as the critical face (and voice) of the company, supporting patients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff daily. As the company continues to expand, they are looking for future leaders. This role is for someone who is a strong communicator with great technical aptitude and a compassionate heart.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in biomedical science preferred.
Customer service experience (call center experience is a major plus).
At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology.
Previous laboratory, healthcare, or medical office experience is highly preferred.
Strong computer proficiency with the ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to learn complex medical/laboratory information quickly.
A professional, empathetic, and resilient approach to problem-solving in a high-volume environment.
Must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for incoming patient and provider inquiries, managing inbound calls.
Assist callers with laboratory-related questions, order statuses, specimen requirements, and general account support.
Navigate multiple software platforms and databases simultaneously to research and resolve customer concerns.
Accurately document all interactions and maintain detailed records within company systems.
Communicate effectively across internal departments and elevate complex issues to management when necessary.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and company policies.
