About The Position
The Athletics Operations Assistant provides part-time support for the daily and event operations of UND Athletics. The position assists Athletics Operations leadership with game management, facility preparation, event staffing, administrative duties, and other operational needs across multiple sports and facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in athletics, events, facilities, recreation, customer service, or a related environment.
- Basic computer and communication skills.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Ability to perform event setup, teardown, and other physical operational duties.
- Dependable, responsible, and organized.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Professional when working with staff, student-athletes, officials, visitors, and the public.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in collegiate athletics, sports, event management, or facility operations.
- Experience supporting athletic events or game-day operations.
- Familiarity with multiple sports and athletic facilities.
- Interest in athletics administration, sports management, facilities, or event operations.
- Experience coordinating or supervising event staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation, setup, execution, and teardown of athletic events.
- Support visiting teams, officials, coaches, staff, and event personnel.
- Assist with facility, equipment, laundry, supply, and operational needs.
- Help coordinate event staffing, schedules, communication, and documentation.
- Provide administrative and project support to Athletics Operations leadership.
- Serve in assigned gameday and operational roles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
