About The Position

We are seeking an influential and highly organized leader who is passionate about continuous daily improvement across assembly lines, production processes, and order fulfillment. This individual will drive meaningful change by effectively diagnosing assembly line challenges, collaborating with subject matter experts, and implementing sustainable countermeasures. The ideal candidate operates confidently at the tactical, order-execution level while also addressing recurring issues with a long-term, strategic mindset. They take full ownership of Assembly performance and are committed to delivering measurable impact across the value stream over the course of their career.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in ERP systems (preferably LN/Infor), manufacturing environments, and production process flows required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Power BI required
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High-energy, self-starter with a hands-on approach and ability to operate with limited administrative support
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of bills of materials, material specifications, and valve testing criteria preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Sales, Production)

Responsibilities

  • Own the Assembly work stoppage process, ensuring each case progresses rapidly from identification to resolution
  • Lead immediate response efforts for new work stoppages by bringing the appropriate cross-functional team to the shop floor to: Diagnose root cause, Define immediate countermeasures, Collect data for long-term corrective actions
  • Drive resolution across departments once root cause and corrective actions are identified, including: Initiating inspection orders and sampling inventory locations, Coordinating rework of non-conforming components, Partnering with Engineering to develop redline drawings or design updates
  • Routinely review open cases (multiple times daily) to ensure progress and hold stakeholders accountable
  • Identify and implement high-impact long-term countermeasures by: Tracking and analyzing recurring issues using Pareto analysis, Leading cross-functional initiatives to address root causes (e.g., design improvements, process refinements, system/tool enhancements)
  • Initial focus will be on BUS (Valve and Actuator) assembly lines, with planned expansion to Knife Gate and Ball Valve assembly lines. The role may also extend to supplier engagement, including on-site support for recurring issues with key vendors.
