About The Position

The Assembler will be working on an assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignments. This role involves measuring, cutting, and assembling door units, as well as assisting with various manual labor tasks. The position requires working under immediate supervision and verifying materials against the bill of materials to ensure they meet quality expectations. Responsibilities include palletizing, wrapping, and labeling units, assembling fabricated parts into subassemblies and complete units, and testing/calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, ensuring components are placed correctly per SOP and repeating tasks until a door stack is complete. The job also includes cleaning the work area at the end of the shift and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Able to stand for the entire duration of the shift
Reliable and consistently punctual
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components.
Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square.
Required to stand for long periods of time.
May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
Ability to organize and maintain detailed records.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.
Read and understand bill of materials.
Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written.
1-2 Years in the field or related area.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut and assemble door units.
Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials.
Ensure materials meet quality expectations.
Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed.
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP.
Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete.
Cleans up work area when shift ends.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
