About The Position

The O&M Technician at the Fairview Energy Center operates, troubleshoots, and maintains combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and associated mechanical, instrumentation and controls (I/C), electrical, and auxiliary systems. The position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through equipment monitoring, preventive maintenance, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements. The technician works in a power plant environment supporting continuous 24/7 operations. The rotating 12-hour schedule alternates between days and nights and may include extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and callout availability. The role reports to the Operations Manager and takes general direction from other plant management, coordinating with plant personnel to support safe and reliable operations. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Work may involve confined spaces, narrow areas, hazardous materials, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, high heat, and varying outdoor weather. Protective equipment may be required, and respirator fit testing may be necessary. All personnel participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, including a post-offer physical examination and drug screening, as well as post-employment random drug screening.
