About The Position

We are hiring for Operations & Maintenance Technician for Cherokee Pump station, which is located just North of Cherokee, TX in the Hill Country. The reporting location of this specific job is Cherokee, Texas. Remote valve sites and pipeline right of ways are also part of the scope of this specific position. Your role in our Team is significantly based upon safety. Team members are expected to follow specific protocols and procedures related to work scope, 100% of the time. As a member of our Team, we ask that you intervene when you see unsafe conditions, communicate effectively with teammates, and perform your specific work duties in a flawless and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures.
  • Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively.
  • Ability to operate hand tools or other pipeline equipment to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and DOT motor carrier regulations.
  • Must be willing and able to attend/complete required training courses.
  • Must be willing and able to work in small team environments.
  • Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Must have safe driving skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and performing electrical, mechanical, and communications repair and maintenance as needed.
  • Providing one call response and management.
  • Assisting and overseeing pipeline construction and maintenance activities as needed.
  • On call emergency responsibilities Monday through Friday, including emergency and regular on calls and operational issues.
  • Providing relief to other Operations/Maintenance technicians with station operator responsibilities in the work area.
  • Responding to all Area Patrol Report findings and documenting appropriately.
  • Assisting in the construction, maintenance, operations, and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities and equipment.
  • Moving/Removing product or water using a variety of methods.
  • Performing batch changing, meter proving, and calibrations.
  • Performing various mathematical calculations associated with over/short reconciliation.
  • Reading and understanding station flow and pipeline alignment drawings.
  • Accurate measurement and sampling of crude oils, products, and natural gas liquids.
  • Setting up equipment and pipeline for inspection, testing, and measurement.
  • Performing to highest safety standards, including reporting all incidents and discrepancies.
