About The Position

This 10-week summer internship program offers penultimate-year students the opportunity to dive into real projects, gain hands-on experience, and shape their future within Barclays' Operations division. Interns will receive full support, take on meaningful responsibilities, and build lasting connections while discovering the unique culture of the company. The program focuses on building a strong foundation in Operations, contributing to strategic initiatives, and helping to deliver exceptional service. The Operations team at Barclays is crucial for the smooth functioning of investment, corporate, and retail banking, ensuring timely processing of payments, smooth operation of credit card systems, and precise execution of trades and transactions. Interns will become a vital part of this rhythm, contributing to the bank's daily activities that touch lives in real time.

Requirements

Must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
Must have a GPA of 3.2 or above.

Responsibilities

Perform KYC tasks following standard procedures related to Client Due Diligence and AML policies.
Monitor real-time transaction flow, trade updates, and exception queues to ensure timely and accurate trade representation across systems.
Address incident, problem, and change management issues to improve services across the bank.
Support the continuous improvement of operational processes and the development of best practices, identifying ways to improve systems and processes.
Provide support for cleared derivatives, performing daily reconciliation of related fees and undertaking a range of complex customer and product-related processing activities.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
