About The Position

A subject matter expert working as a liaison between Mercy Technology Services (MTS) and Emergency Services advancing the automation of work and ensuring workflows are developed to support an EDIS. Devises or modifies IT solution to solve complex clinical business system problems for automation of workflow and meet regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsible for the training and ensuring co-worker competencies specific to EDIS; liaison with MTS to ensure co-worker security access to EDIS systems. Liaison with Clinical Engineering. Project lead for designing, planning and implementation of EDIS projects which includes working with ancillary, outpatient and inpatient departments. Supports new and installed software applications. Develops end-user training and documentation materials. Supports conversions and downtimes. Liaison with Clinical Engineering to ensure clinical equipment is working correctly for the ED. Responsible for payroll for the department; as well as time and attendance tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in an applicable field required, or equivalent experience in health care; with strong computer skills and knowledge.
  • Appropriate to field licensure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to teach and mentor diverse work force and ensure expectations are met.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Excellent follow through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to adapt and re-set goals for rapidly changing work environment.
  • Ability to live and make decisions according to the Mercy System values.
